61 Poland Street runs Thursday to Saturday, 8pm–3am. Monday through Wednesday it's closed. The access request was never going to clear — there's no night to get into. Take it off the board.
The Little Violet Door moves up to Plan A. It's open Wednesday 4pm–1am, and the resident DJs and kitchen discos run Wednesday through Saturday — which is the exact house-party format you wanted, on the exact night you're there.
Wednesday 26 August · Land + explore
Loose enough to actually enjoy it. The only hard edge is the Soho reservation at night.
Immigration and baggage on an early transatlantic arrival usually eats 60–90 minutes. Piccadilly line or Heathrow Express, then over to Westminster.
Realistic hotel arrival: 9:00–9:30 AMCheck-in isn't until 3 PM, so this is bags-to-concierge and go. Freshen up in the lobby restroom and get back out.
Three options below, all vetted for Wednesday morning. Pick by mood on the day.
Victoria Embankment → Parliament and Big Ben → Westminster Abbey → across Westminster Bridge → South Bank. Flat, scenic, and it keeps you moving through the worst of the jet lag.
Borough Market or a South Bank food stall. Keep it small — dinner is the splurge.
Brick Lane → Shoreditch → Hoxton. Rokit and Beyond Retro are the anchors; the market stalls between them are where the finds actually are. Hackney and Dalston only if the energy holds.
Most vintage shops shut 6–7 PMRoom's ready now. Shower, change, nap if you need it. Dinner is smart-elegant, so this is where you actually get dressed.
Breakfast · No-beans edition

33 D'Arblay Street, W1F 8EU · No bookings — walk in, expect a queue
Tall Japanese soufflé pancakes that actually jiggle — naturally gluten-free and dairy-free. Sandos, omurice, matcha. It's a small room, so book it if you want a table inside.

Wednesday night · Soho + Mayfair
One reservation, one anchor, and a flex plan behind it. Everything below is within a 15-minute walk of everything else.
Latin American in a rainforest-built room on Berkeley Square. Live bands every evening, a sushi counter, and a downstairs bar that runs late. Reservations open 60–90 days out — book this now if it isn't already locked.

Dress code: smart-elegant. No sportswear, shorts, or caps — they will turn you away.
A bar built like a flatshare — sitting room with velvet sofas and a vinyl bar upstairs, games room and kitchen downstairs. Resident DJs spin from the kitchen island Wednesday through Saturday. This is the house party you were chasing, on a night it actually happens.
9 Kingly Street, W1B 5PH · Wed 4 PM – 1 AM · 4 min walk from Carnaby
If Violet isn't the vibe, walk it. Kingly Court, Beak Street, Berwick Street, Old Compton. Follow the noise and the queue length.

Seven floors, Stormzy's venue, genuinely worth it — but Thursday to Saturday only. You're on a ship by Thursday night. Save it for the next London run.
61 Poland Street, W1F 7NU · Thu–Sat 8 PM – 3 AM
Pizza, kebab, or Chinatown if you drift south. Then a black cab or Uber to John Islip Street — the night tube doesn't run midweek, so don't plan on it.
Thursday 27 August · London → Portsmouth
Nothing on Thursday is worth missing the shuttle for. Keep it close, keep it short, be early.
Passports, boarding pass, cruise documents, chargers, adapters, phones. Do a full drawer-and-safe sweep before anything else.
Pastry and coffee or a simple egg plate. No queue-heavy spots, no second sit-down. CA Japanese Pancakes in Victoria is the only one of the three worth the walk today.
Westminster, Millbank, South Bank, a coffee, maybe Tate Britain — it's a minute from the hotel. No ticketed attractions and absolutely no East London.
Checkout is noon. Collect bags, final passport and document check, top off phone batteries.
Arrive early and take the stress out of the transfer. Portsmouth is roughly a 2-hour coach run from central London.
Do not cut this one closeLondon chapter closes here.
Muster drill happens before sailaway — do it on the app the moment you board and you'll be on deck with a drink instead of in a lounge.
